We just worked with Phil Lavender on our purchase of a brownstone in Brooklyn.  Phil was very knowledgeable and assisted us throughout the entire process, from when we put in our offers and counteroffers, through closing and post-closing.  We were so happy with his services that I decided to sing my praises on Yelp, despite my not having posted in a long, long time.

He was always available to speak to us, explain, and answer our questions (and we had many).  He was a calm and steady presence throughout the transaction, helping us navigate through the process whether it was the bank or the seller that raised unexpected issues.  He drafted riders to the purchase agreement that were favorable to us and went above and beyond at the closing, paying attention to details and meticulously ensuring we were protected.

All in all, two thumbs up.  We would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of an attorney for real estate transactions.  This is a review coming from two attorneys, so I hope that gives you some further assurance!
